Abstract Poduzetništvo žena u posljednje vrijeme postaje sve popularnija tema i u fokusu je razmatranja
teoretičara i praktičara.
U tom smislu, kroz različite politike i
programe, akcijske planove i druge strateške dokumente te infrastrukturnu (potpornu) podršku,
nastoji se potaknuti poduzetnička aktivnost kod žena. Međutim, jedan od glavnih problema, ali
i prepreka, s kojima se
u okvir poslušne kućanice, brižne majke i supruge.
odgovornost usklađivanja privatnog i poslovnog života.
svoje snove. Less
Abstract (english) Women's entrepreneurship is becoming an increasingly popular topic in recent times and it is
the focus of consideration by theorists and practitioners. Croatia, as well as EU countries, makes
great efforts to encourage women to become increasingly involved in entrepreneurial activity.
In that sense, through different policies and programs, action plans and other strategic
documents, so as infrastructural (supportive) support, attempts are made to encourage
entrepreneurial activity among
... More women. However, one of the main problems, as well as an
obstacle, faced by women today is a „negative“ attitude towards women in entrepreneurship.
Which are associated with traditional stereotypes about women's roles both in the family and
in the society by placing women into the frame of an obedient housewife, so as both caring
mother and wife. By that cognition itself, it can clearly conclude, how it is really difficult for
women to enter in the world of entrepreneurship, especially if self – proving and achieving
business success in what they do, is added fact too. The fact that today's time, brings with it
more responsibilities and more obligations in business, so it is on them the most of
responsibility of balancing private and business life. Except the barriers that are already
mentioned, ascribing them to the structural kind of obstacles, by going ahead we cross the way
with economic problems and obstacles, because of disabled access to financial support among
women, so they at the best for them can accomplish the right to a very small part of the
incentive. When they find themselves in the situation like that, most women simply give up on
their idea by accepting rules of the society and end up burying their dreams deeply to come
back to their family and living 100% only for them.
Fortunately, women are taking small but strong steps towards achieving their ideas by
demanding to be heard, speaking to the public, rationally approaching the idea of their future
business venture. They also have been working on the improvement of their knowledge and
skills by investing into self – education. In that sense, women are provided with various forms
of support, which will greatly improve future businesses. The Republic of Croatia is an
exceptional example, especially when it comes to female entrepreneurs. Women at differentages, on different positions show that succes is accessible. With one of the best female
entrepreneurs in Croatia, an in – depth interview was conducted. Their personal experience and
example shows us the importance of following one's dreams Less
