Abstract
Bankarski sustav u svijetu razvijao se još od antike. Tijekom stoljeća došlo je do otvaranja, kao i propasti brojnih banaka. Danas postoji nekoliko banaka na globalnoj razini koje imaju izuzetnu snagu budući da su matične banke koje posjeduju brojne druge banke koje djeluju na nacionalnoj razini. Bankarski sustav u RH značajno se razvio od 1990. ih godina te procesa sanacije velikog broja banaka. Posljedica toga je činjenica kako u RH danas postoji mali broj banaka koje su u domaćem vlasništvu, a zbog čega je u javnosti učestalo negativna percepcija poslovanja banaka kao instrumenta za odljev novčanih sredstava iz RH u države u kojima posluju matične banke koje u svom vlasništvu imaju banke na području RH. Bankarski sustav predstavlja jednu od temeljnih stavki ekonomskog razvoja na kojem se temelji cjelokupni rast i razvoj jedne države i društva.
Abstract (english)
The banking system in the world has been developing since antiquity. Over the centuries, numerous banks have opened and collapsed. Today, there are several banks globally that have exceptional power because they are parent banks that own numerous other banks that operate nationally. The banking system in the Republic of Croatia has developed significantly since the 1990s and the process of rehabilitating a large number of banks. The consequence of this is the fact that today there is a small number of domestically owned banks in the Republic of Croatia, which is why the public often has a negative perception of the operation of banks as an instrument for the outflow of funds from the Republic of Croatia to the countries where the parent banks that own the banks operate. in the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
